All Athletes Adapt

Regardless of inherent ability or physiological limitations, one thing when we all exercise remains constant: we all must adapt.

This is no different for people who have physical and/or neurological impairments. With every movement in life and every workout in the gym, we are adaptive to our environments.

As a lifelong athlete, Kiersten knows firsthand the physical, mental, and social benefits of exercise and believes in the power of fitness as a vessel to help all people find their potential. A former exercise physiologist at the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab, Kiersten created individual fitness programs for people of all abilities, including those with spinal cord injury, stroke, Parkinson’s Disease and/or limb deficiency.

 Kiersten's passion lies where sports and neurorehabilitation intersect, and she aims to facilitate the engagement and participation of people with disabilities in physical activity, exercise, and sport.

No matter who you are, there is a place for you to explore your potential.

I believe in the use of exercise and community to improve overall fitness, independence, and self-confidence that transcends the gym.

Individual Training

Fully custom programs are thoughtfully designed based on your needs. No two athletes are the same, meaning no two programs can be the same. Your training plan is developed by combining an educational background in physical therapy, exercise science, and coaching, with your athletic make up, and the goals you are striving towards.

We’ll discuss where you are on your rehabilitation journey and where you want to go next. Then together, we’ll work to build towards those goals, one movement at a time. #ifyoubuildit

How it works:

  • Initial phone consultation to get to know one another and take the first steps into diving into your journey

  • Individualized training log via GoogleDocs, Excel, and/or other training apps (per client request and discussion)

  • Communication via text, phone, and email

  • Specialized weekly workouts aimed at your fitness, exercise, and/or sport goals.

    Rates dependent on desired program parameters (number of training sessions, in-person vs. virtual, length of program, etc.)

There are no limits.
